Graphical impact is really better than the previous reselases one: the progress bar at the boot moment seems burning; the login window is completely new and it's dark with the ubuntu logo on the bottom right of the screen; the desktop background doesn't have any animals stereotypes but it's really more linear than the previuos ones even if the main colur is stil the brown.
So Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope presents itself this way. I've installed it on my new asus eee box to test new features which i will describe in the next days with some posts but i've got to say that i'm really good impressed at first sight.
Performances seems to be similar to the ubuntu 8.10 version as the software packages already installed.
Little technical note: i've tried to upgrade from ubuntu 8.10 through the update manager but probably servers were overloaded in fact the program itself stopped working. I've never seen this before... Could this mean that ubuntu diffusion is becoming wider and wider?!? i hope so! let's trash windows!
