I found this program after a lot of searches with Google, but now it's an essential instrument for all the people like me which works every day with servers and with the most common files transfer protocols.
The last release, released on october 29th 2007, is 4.0.5. This application is a familiar scp and sftp client but it has been completed with the ftp support since the 4.0 release (released on May 2007). This extension makes this application the best remote files manager for windows. No doubt for this.
The mainfeatures are:
- full ftp, sftp and scp support;
- integrated text editor with immediate save on the server without manual upload;
- external text editors configuration and integration (i advise you Notepad++ from SourceForge);
- open source so you can get it easily;
- you can choose between windows installer and standalone application.
So, i advise you the immediate winscp download and to use it. Of course, this is available only for windows. With Linux i use Konqueror which is the best web protocols client i know.
